Simplify
Simplify is an app created with the goal of assisting patients with Dementia and Alzheimer’s, to help facilitate their daily life and well as retain memories with as much detail and accuracy as possible.
This project was part of a group assignment, in which I had the pleasure of working with designer Tyler Fletcher, who took over wireframing and prototype, while I worked on branding and refining the final comps.
The Design Challenge
The goal was to develop a product that can help patients with Alzheimer’s to retain memories, and help them complete daily tasks such as taking some vitamins or medicine and not so recurrent tasks such as attending doctor's appointments.
We came up with a brand, including a logo, slogan, and colors,... We also created an app that can be accessed as a caretaker/patient, but also as the caregiver, so functions are different depending on who is using the app.
The Logo
The icon used as part of the logo is the illustration of a hummingbird. After doing research, we found that this bird represents joy and lightness as well as healing and adaptability, all of the values and characteristics that represent this brand.
The slogan created for Simplify is
Improve, Preserve and Facilitate.
